Hello All
Qubenet has decided to concentrate on 2.60b again, therefor will all our servers on 2.55 either be shut down or used by another clan as their server.
So please all try an support this by playing alot there, shut down the other games your involved in an use your gammingtime here, its quite important that we can be massive on the server in the beginning, this is imo the last shot we have to make a server popular, so please all do an effort.
There where several reasons why we choosed to take such an action, some of you may not like it and some of you im sure will love it.
Il try to list some of the reasons here:
1.
Qubenet has been a 2.60b clan from the beginning, when 2.60b was introduced, its actually only a reasonable short time we have been concentrating on 2.55, so therefor its more like getting back again, we have actually members who never plays on 2.55, now we have a chance of the whole clan playing togehter again.
2.
Servers on 2.60b are way more secure and stable than the ones on 2.55
3.
To really attract people on 2.55, you have to use some very newbfriendly settings and rules. and tbh guys, most of you find those settings an rules booooooooooring. also playing only the standardmaps over and over again is boring. our settings was spawnkill allowed, lots of custommaps, friendly fire enabled etc etc all these things will make sure that the server never becomes really popular on 2.55
4.
Qubenet + the regulars we have/had on 2.55 was way above the normal 2.55 player in skill which also was scaring them away.
So our chances for getting the server populated was very low, if we did all those changes needed to attract them we wouldnt like to play there ourselves.
So guys we will start out with this server
Its running 2.60b ETPub 0.8.1 Punkbuster protected an streamed by PBBans.
Normal rotation is Radar, Battery, Fueldump, Oasis, Supplydepot2
But with gametype 6 running the server has a mapvoting system in the intermissiontimes where you can vote for other maps.
im not sure but i think its around 21 maps you can vote for.
If this is going to be a success then we can talk of other servers like etpro etc etc, but for now lets concentrate on this.
and i know it will be hard
